to take balance from a credit card it is necessary to have the credit card physically present here at the Pier/on board of the boats, for card processing we use wireless VeriFones on board, no carbon paper, no kind of copy of cards or their details. starting May1st 2009: please do not send any credit card information/number aso by e-mail or Fax or on the Phone. we do only process puchases of physically present credit cards slided throu the machine. Credit Card vouchers are always shown in local currency "Dominican Pesos", our daily exchange rate US$ to Dominican Pesos is always the actual Bank exchange rate which can be checked on www.oanda.com please advice ALWAYS your bank/credit card provider about the use of your credit card in the Dominican Republic, otherwise a low card limit would show up and not allow the Transactions.
we recomment not to echange your dollars in dominican pesos at the resorts/hotels/their on site banks, exchange rates there are up to 20% under the regular exchange rates, so at Mike's Marina we do not accept such exchange rates.
if you want to use Your Credit Card to take Money out of a ATM, just inform your Driver upon Pick Up about that, and he will stop with you at a reliable Machine. that way your Payment on Board would be accepted as a Cash Payment and you would get automatically the 10% Cash Discount. Such Stops at ATM's are of course only possible on Private Charter Transfers. Shared Charter Customers need to have their Cash Handy or prepay by PayPal, otherwise the Transfers from different Hotels to the Boats would get Delayed significantly.

it is very important to enter the exact name of your hotel.
we do not accept bookings for the next day, our pick ups are planned/ordered before noon the prior day. after you submitted the reservations-form you'll get your reservation/ requested date confirmed by mail within 24 hrs including the procedure for Deposits/Payments and Pick Up Details.
All reservations require a Deposit of $100.-. Due bad experiences this fall we can sorrily not accept anymore last minute bookings by phone without a Deposit.
Package bookings require a higher Deposit to cover the booking of your hotelroom.
Your credit card must be aproved by your bank for the use in a foreign country, this is very important specially for US- and Canadian customers.
For all Deposits just use the button shown below. All Transactions will be transfered via encrypted lines provided by PayPal.
if you wish to deposit/pay by money wire please request bank account details for our american and european bank accounts by e-mail on Mike@MikesMarina.info. while deposits on our European Bank account show up right on the next labour day transfers from US and Canadian accounts take 5-7 labour days to show up, so please do not use that option for last minute transfers.
Rest payments can also be done at our Marina's Dock/on board the day of your charter by cash or Travellers Cheques. Credit Cards are only accepted on Private Charters like described above, not on Shared Charters.
